LES MILLS SUPER SATURDAY
This year, Less Mills took SUPER SATURDAY to new heights. The two-day event had classes with a schedule full of superstars. At the same time it was filmed for releases (product updates) to be launched in Q1 2014. This took place at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden during both Saturday and Sunday. It was the first time that Les Mills International brought its entire crew of Program Directors and their production team to film outside New Zealand. This was a unique opportunity for participants to experience and participate in a filming session.
– SUPER SATURDAY is known throughout the world for being a big, successful, well-organized and energizing event. Les Mills hope is that instructors and trainers from across Europe will have the chance to be in place and be inspired.
This year Les Mills booked all three venues; Hovet, Annexet and Ericson Globe. The filming occured inside Ericson Globe both Saturday and Sunday.
ActivateMe was responsible for the logistics of equipment on two different event venues, Annexet and The Ericsson Globe. Equipment for approximately 2 000 people was moved and refurbished several times over two days to accommodate the busy schedules.
Approximately 55 000 kg (55 tons) equipment was moved around by Activatemes professional staff according to a meticulous logistical schedule. The planning and cooperation with the other units of the production team was critical to get everything to run as smoothly as possible. Nothing was allowed to go wrong.
The 24-men strong squad worked 12 hour days for 3 days to make sure nothing was missing and everything was in place as planned.
”Awesome job. Extremely pleased with how everything was handled!”
– Petter Ehrnvall, Project Manager, Les Mills Super Saturday Stockholm
